Italian Margarita

Italian Margarita

Most restaurants and bars in California serve pretty good Margaritas. There are endless delightful variations combining fruits and different liquors with the traditional Tequilla and we tasted our fair share living here. The last time we meet for Happy Hour on the Pier at Moby Dick Restaurant we both ordered their house special Italian Margarita which included Amaretto. It was refreshingly delicious and the bartender kindly gave us the recipe. Of course the Amaretto made it taste just like Italy…

This is legit but try the rim with sugar next time. Adds a little different dimension to the initial taste. Also to sub the sweet n sour, try some fresh squeezed lime and lemon juice and simple syrup you can easily make in a few minutes. I did 1/2oz lemon and also 1/2oz lime. 3/4oz of the simple syrup or agave (if you buy some from the store break it down, equal parts water and agave. Agave syrup goes excellent with tequila). Anyway just trying to lend some advice :). I am a bartender and you saved my ass tonight lol. Thank you very much.

Oh my goodness… That looks like the tastiest thing on earth. The funny part it’s only 10:30 (AM) and I wouldn’t mind one – lol… What does that say??? Thanks for sharing a great cocktail recipe 🙂
