    Fresh salad dressings are great in a food processor, and a mini like this one would make small batches even easier.

    Grilled Salsa… Grill all the Vegetables: Roma Tomatos, Jalapenos, Red Onion
    Put into mini-prep along with garlic, lime juice, cumin, salt, pepper and cilantro. Add a little EVOO, then pulse to desired texture.
    This is really good over grilled meat or fish.

    I would use this dandy little device to make pesto or salsa, to start. Many possibilities. I have a bigger Cuisinart food processor, but this would be easier to pull out and use for smaller jobs. Cheers!

    I love potato pancakes but they are such a hassle to make with a hand grater. I’ll grate ome potatoes out of my garden, add a little hand ground flour, sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, then saute in a little olive oil and serve with apple sauce. Yum!

    I would live to make Carb and gluten free power bars with the food processor. They make for a nutritious snack as well as a delicious dessert accompanied by a nice chocolatey red wine.
    I also like making chermolata – a pesto like paste to spread on white fish before grilling.

    I purée foods all the time to 1) get my kids to eat more vegetables, and 2) to get more flavor out of foods. We love fresh flavors, like gespachos, salsas, relishes.

  • I would love to win the Cuisinart Mini-Prep Plus food processor for my wife and I. We have only an old model CFP-9A, inherited from her mother years ago, and we lack most attachments. This new smaller unit would be perfect for making vinaigrette and even more especially, pesto sauces, for which the large older unit is simply not suited. Thank you.

    I’m switching to a healthier diet, which means more fresh produce in my diet. I love making fresh cole slaw, but hand cutting it is a long task. Food processors make this a breeze.

    Start with the obvious, pesto, then go to the spinach salad, then a chicken with a blue cheese and pine nut sauce (sauce in the cuisinart)…. the desert is obviously wine so there will be now need for the cuisinart at that point.

    I am looking for just this item to help incorporate the Baja sea salt we have with home-grown, dried herbs. It’s a wonderful mix for gifts or everyday cooking. A little “bam” of this mix in any recipe gives each dish a boost.

  • So many recipes…my late mother left me a recipe box filled with her favorite Cuisinart recipes (My sister inherited the vintage Cuisinart so I need a Cuisinart to go with the recipes). What recipes? Homemade butter from cream, banana bread, dark chocolate mouse with homemeade whipped cream made with Grand Marnier, potato latkes, homemade peanut butter made from the finest peanuts – the house always smelled like the peanut butter place at L.A.’s Farmer’s Market, dough for making homemade pasta with a hand-cranked machine (always a precarious operation – our four Siamese cats were always trying to get into the kitchen to play with the fettuccine strands drying on the wooden pasta trees…and so many other recipes, all so evocative of my mother and our good times together cooking and baking…

    I have a larger processor, but would like to use a smaller one for small jobs. Cleaning the large one takes a lot of work. I would like to try make almond butter in this small processor. Should be just the right size for a smaller amount.

    I have tried several recipes for Borscht, but they just have not turned out as good as I have had in Ukraine. I found a new recipe; and this little food processor would be perfect to make this Borscht!! I will be glad to share it when I make it!

    REALLY REALLY need a new processor! My Cuisinart Food Processor was a wedding gift back in 1984.

    1 Canned Smoked Trout from TJ; 1 onion; 2 TJs pickles; 1 medium size tomato; salt and pepper to taste; you can add some mayo or yogurt if desired. Served on slice of bread or with crackers.

    I enjoy trying new things. I love making Salsa both sweet and spicy and then canning. I also love making relishes, jams, and savory chutney to share with my friends and neighbors. I would love this prize.

  • I’ve had the same food processor since the early 90’s. It’s on its last legs.
    One of the unique things I use a food processor for is to make a thick paste out of a variety of rehydrated chiles to go into my signature chili. Of course, it gets used for a ton of other things too.

  • I will make a wonder Hollandaise sauce in the blender to sever on a Sunday Morning Brunch of Eggs Benedict. With a slice of fresh ham a egg poached and tomato slices and greens on the side. Served up with Fresh Orange Slush made in a blender
